Lonnie Wayne Venable 71 of Riverview, Florida went home to be with the Lord in the late evening of October 5th, 2019. He was born June 20th, 1948 in the town of Plainview, TX, to Ernest and Ima Venable. He was preceded in death by his parents; Ernest and Ima, brother Travis, sister Shirley Brooks, grandson Malaki. uncle Vernon, niece Cindy Therwhanger. Lonnie is survived by his wife Cynthia, sons, Michael and Leland, daughters, Shelly and Tiffany, Elena Vallier, 7 grandchildren, Nick Venable Hearn (Shelly), Shianne (Shelly), Sarah Harland (Shelly), Kylee (Shelly), Christopher (Shelly), Brady (MIchael), Sloane (Leland). Nephew and nieces of Charles Travis Venable, Kenny, Keith, Kim and Kristy and nieces and nephews (Shirley) Sheila, Robin, Ronda. 4 Great grandchildren. His best friend since childhood, Joe Sanders. Son-in-law, Christopher Plouff, and Daughter-in-law, Kimberly Harter and many family friends in Texas and Florida. Lonnie was a country boy from Olton, Texas. He graduated from South Plains College with an Associate degree in music. He had a passion for music and even a band of his own, named Southwest Express. He loved to play multiple instruments and had songs on the radio. He loved to give guitar lessons. He started his own business, a music store (Lon's Music) for 30+ years. Before that, he had a farm for over 10 years and a retread shop for many years. He married his wife Cynthia on Friday, 3rd, 1987. They had their first home in Olton, Texas, later moving to Tulia, Texas, and eventually Riverview, Fl. where their children Leland and Tiffany live. He loved seeing gators, the beach, and salt-water fishing. He also loved to camp and be in the mountains, and loved the Dallas Cowboys. Lonnie developed a great talent in playing billiards. Lonnie loved his sweets, particular ice cream sandwiches. One of his favorite pass times was teaching his son Michael how to play the guitar, and playing music with his best friend Joe Sanders. . . . .
