Merrill made his transition on January 19, 2022, at Hospice House in Sun City Center, FL. He was the loving husband of Monnie (Boyd) Sehulster, and they were married for 54 years. He is pre-deceased by his parents Mary Smith Sehulster and Clarence Edward Sehulster of Mt. Dora, FL. Born March 20, 1942, his family moved from NJ when he was two years old. He spent his youth in Mt. Dora and graduated from Bishop Moore High School in Orlando, FL. Merrill studied electrical engineering at Auburn University, Auburn, AL, and business school of Nova University, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; graduating Summa Cum Laude. Merrill began a long career in engineering. First at Sunair Electronics before he began an illustrious 30 year career with Honeywell Corp. He worked at Bendix Aerospace, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Bendix Corp, Southfield, MI, Bendix Automotive, Newport News, VA, Allied-Signal Corp. Headquarters, Morristown, NJ, and Honeywell, Corp, Phoenix, AZ. Many colleagues have expressed their gratitude in helping their careers by his leadership and quiet integrity. He found enjoyment in his family, friends, traveling, golfing and sailing. Summer vacations were spent at the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Fun times were golfing with friends at Kingsmill Country Club Williamsburg, VA, Sun City Grand Surprise, AZ, and The Moorings Vero Beach, FL. A special golfing experience was playing Pebble Beach Golf Club in Carmel, CA. Merrill was a member of the Vero Beach Yacht Club and The Moorings Yacht and Country Club. Favorite times were dinners with special friends, Auburn Football, watching Formula 1 Racing, listening to his favorite song “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and a glass of red wine at 5pm. Merrill leaves his wife Monnie (Boyd) Sehulster, his daughters Michele Ryan (Mike) of Riverview, FL , Mireille Nicoletti (Raymond) of Wareham, MA, his granddaughter Alana Nicoletti of Wareham, MA and his brother Clarence Edward Sehulster II of Mt. Dora, FL. Zipperer’s Funeral Home is handling his cremation. A “Celebration of Life” will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Pine Forest Cemetery in Mt. Dora, FL.
