Theodore Franklin Pruitt II, born on February 19th, 1959, in Bluefield, West Virginia, passed from this life to the next on Friday, January 13th, 2017, from the comfort of his own home, surrounded by love, shortly after midnight. A loving father, son, brother, and husband, he is survived by his 3 sons, Teddy Pruitt III, Brian Pruitt, and Marcus Pruitt, their mother, Judy Pruitt, his fiance and companion of 11 years, Cindy Vickers, sisters Patty Pruitt, Angel Bzdak, Tina Pruitt, Missy Hickman, and Rosanne Cook-Dixon, his mother, Betty Goins-Carter, his 4 step-children, Erwin Hickman, Dodi Hickman, Reid Hickman, and Rachel Hickman, and 16 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Franklin Pruitt, in 2005. Known by several names (Ted, Frank, Frankie, Dad, and Papa), his life was marked by his generosity, sacrifice, hard work, sense of humor, intelligence, and wisdom. Always the life of the party, he was an avid boater who enjoyed the company of good friends (he had many) and good times. Ted's hard work and dedication to his financial services business was a 37 year testimony to his determination and willingness to do what others wouldn't in order to have what others couldn't. His accolades, awards, and accomplishments in the financial services industry were, and will continue to be, a constant affirmation of his value and commitment to the work he loved, changing the lives of 1,000's of people, both here in the US and in Canada. He will be sorely missed by many. Rest well, Dad, we'll see you again. A celebration of Ted's life will be held on Friday, February 3rd, 2017 from 5:00pm-11:00pm at: New Russia Township Lodge 43600 Butternut Ridge Road Oberlin, OH 44074 Food, drinks, and beer will be provided.
