Alice Teresa (Rooney) Benson, 94, was born in St. Albans, Vermont, on March 1, 1928, and died on October 6, 2022, in Sun City Center, Florida. Her father was Herbert James Rooney and her mother was Mary (Sullivan) Rooney. Alice graduated from the University of Vermont in Burlington, where she completed her undergraduate degree, and the University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she earned a master's degree in education. She lived and worked as an educator and real estate agent for many years in Cadillac, Michigan, before retiring to Florida. Alice is survived by her daughters, Susan M. Hicks and Mary Benson McMullen, both residents of Bloomington, Indiana, whose father was Marcel Benson (now deceased). She is also survived by six grandchildren, Zack Hudson, John Michael Hudson, Katie Hicks, John Bradley McMullen, Michael McMullen (who preceded her in death), and Ben McMullen; and one great-grandson, Luka Hudson.
