Ana Maria Lleras Valdes , passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully into the arms of our Lord, in Ruskin, FL , on Friday , March 23, 2021 at the age of 87.

Ana was born on July 26th, 1933 in her native country of Cuba to Domitilo Lleras and Fabiana Beatriz Costa Lleras. Ana grew up in Cuba, where she met and married the one and only love of her life, Jose Angel Valdes. They had one son, Carlos Valdes in 1957 and emigrated to the United States in the early 60's where they established a new life and home.

Ana, Tutu as her grand children affectionately called her, was preceded in death by her loving husband and both her parents. She is survived by one brother, Julio Lleras, sister-in-law Norma Lleras, son Carlos Valdes, daughter-in-law Veronica Weber, her grand children Daniel, Nicholas, Stephanie and Hannah Valdes. She is also survived by her great- grand daughters Mila, Remi and Addi.

Ana was a strong, determined, hard working , loving and caring person who made many sacrifices to raise her only son right after her husbands untimely and unexpected tragic loss in 1969. Upon her husbands death, she dedicated her life to raising her son and later re-dedicated herself to her grand children. They were her life.

Ana was a good woman, an honest woman, who led by example and always did the right thing . Her honesty and integrity were her biggest traits. Hypocrisy was never a part of her life.

Tutu, you left us when we least expected it. You were a fighter and proved it many times over. Specially over the last year of your life. In that time, you showed us all what you taught us throughout your life. You worked hard, battled through all your struggles, recovered, gained strength and confidence but left us not as a victim of your struggles but after you conquered all and when you were good and ready !

Tutu, you will be missed more than you know and will be forever in our minds and forever loved.
