Obituary

MADDEN, Anne L., 56 of Ruskin, arrived for her divine appointment with her Creator and Savior on May 28, 2015. She passed peacefully of pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her loving husband, David Madden; son, Richard Ponton; sisters, Lynn Dalton and Carol Jackson; and brother, Vance Blakely. Anne served her country in the Army for eight years in both the Transportation and Military Intelligence Corps. Following her military career, she was the owner of Frame Crafters and the Blue Ibis Art Gallery in Ruskin for 16 years. As a member of many civic and county organizations, Anne was a determined advocate for her local community, with a special place in her heart for children and the disadvantaged. Anne served on the Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Board of Directors, the Citizens Advisory Committee of the Hillsborough Board of County Commissioners, the Hillsborough County Metropolitan Planning Organization, the SouthShore Arts Council, the SouthShore Roundtable Board of Directors, and the South Bay Hospital Board of Directors. Most recently, Anne was fulfilling her purpose at the Good Samaritan Mission. She was the voice of the Mission in the surrounding community, continually striving to inform and educate people about the Mission and its vision.

A celebration of life for Anne will be held at the Good Samaritan Mission, 14920 Balm Wimauma Road, Wimauma on 11 a.m. June 6, 2015.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Samaritan Mission, Moffitt Cancer Center, or Lifepath Hospice.
