Arthur G. (Art) Dodson, Tampa native, Husband, Father, USAF Veteran, retired TECO Engineer, former member First Presbyterian Church of Brandon, volunteer light keeper at Loggerhead Key - Dry Tortugas National Park, Aircraft Pilot, licensed Ship Captain, Boy Scout Leader, cattle rancher, avid fisherman, shade tree mechanic and antique car enthusiast, died at home with his family present, on August 4, 2015. He was 79 years old. He is survived by Lela Dodson, his wife of 57 years; son, Larry and wife Patty; son, Jimmy and wife Tammy; grandchildren, Justin, Leigh Anne, Brad Barfield and wife Shelley, Logan, Camille, and Laurel; great- grandsons, Carter Rowland, Bradley and Taylor Barfield; brothers, David and wife Virginia, Stewart and wife Eleanor; sister, Ardyth Stone and husband Don; numerous nieces and nephews. In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated and buried at sea. There will be no public service, however a life celebration is planned for a later date to be announced.
