Obituary
Arthur Ray Ilse Jr., 85, of Ruskin, Florida, departed this life into eternal life with the Lord on June 19, 2022 at the LifePath Hospice House in Sun City Center, Florida.
He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on August 25, 1936 to the late Arthur Sr. and Frances Ilse. Arthur was proceeded in death by his parents, his sister Janice Coulson of Romulus, Michigan, son Raymond Ilse of Corpus Christi, Texas, and daughter Tonya Dunn of Bellefontaine, Ohio, both from a previous marriage.
He is survived by his wife Sandra "Sandy" (Nash) Ilse, who he met in 1988 and was married for thirty-three years. Arthur is also survived by his children, Micheal (Nancy) Ilse, Tina (Wes) Harshfield, John Ilse, and Arthur Hosea Ilse, as well as twelve (12) grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Arthur was a proud military veteran. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1953-1956 then transitioned to the active U.S. Air Force and later the Air National Guard until honorably discharged 1975 where he ended his tour serving at the 664th Radar Station in Bellefontaine, Ohio.
Arthur was a Master Electrician by trade and studied at the ITT Technical Institute. He enjoyed his employment at Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida for 17 years and later Zoo Tampa. Arthur enjoyed his passion of riding motorcycles with his wife Sandy and going to the movies.
A memorial service will be at a later date.
