IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Audrey Ann
Vietzke
May 28, 1943 – March 31, 2026
Audrey Vietzke, 82, of Sun City Center, FL passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026.
Audrey was born in Boston, MA to Claudia and James Sullivan. She grew up in Dorchester, MA with her parents, her sister Cynthia, and her aunt Audrey. She attended Girls Latin High School, Boston University, and the University of Florida and worked as a registered nurse for 40 years.
She met her husband Mark while attending a School of Theology mixer at Boston University and married him in 1967. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, playing the harp, attending church, listening to Johnny Mathis, watching the Celtics, Red Sox (and later, the Rays) and figure skating, and baking. She was especially talented at decorating cakes and sewing. She loved dogs and horses (she even had a miniature horse) and watching her children playing sports.
When she retired and moved to Florida, she was active in her many clubs: pickleball, croquet, New England Club, German-American Club, and Irish Connection.
She is survived by her husband Mark of 58 years; her daughter Holly Vietzke of North Andover, MA; her son Kenneth Vietzke and his wife Cammy of Knightdale, NC; her grandchildren Grant Vietzke, Paige Vietzke, Thomas (TJ) Lynch, and Lauren Lynch; and many nieces and nephews.
While Alzheimer’s Disease may have clouded her final years, we choose to remember the woman who always cooked a delicious meal (and homemade dessert) and sent handmade cards for every occasion.
A celebration of life will be held in Florida at a later date.
