Obituary

Barbara A. Null.

Passed away peacefully in her home with family by her side, Tuesday, August 18, 2020. She was born Barbara A. Cole December 18, 1927, in the village of Hart, MI to Arlene and Lawrence Cole. She was preceded in death by her husband William A. Null and son Michael E Gue. Surviving Barbara are her daughters Luanne DeCarbo (spouse Vincent DeCarbo) and Carlene Weise. Barbara has 6 grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren.

Those who knew Barbara know that she was happiest when she was with her family and loved ones. She enjoyed reminiscing the past and cherishing the present. She had a remarkable memory and could recount details of her past and would tell countless stories that allowed her family to continue to relive the memories with her. She was a genuine, compassionate woman in everything she did. Barbara touched so many people in her life, both family and friends. She was a hugger and if you showed up without a hug, she was quick to dole a big one out. She had a great sense of humor and always made sure to remind us of her disdain for red sports cars, which made us laugh among many other things.

Barbara was very active in her community and enjoyed gardening, fishing, singing and spending time with family and friends. Barbara was a long-time member of the Bradenton Garden Club, in Bradenton, FL. actively participating since the early 80's until her death. She and her husband William devoted many hours of volunteer work at the Garden Club, where she also made many of her close friends. Barbara was also an avid sport fishing lover and she landed many large speckled trout and snook throughout Tampa and Sarasota Bay. She also spent many years singing in an all-women's choir group Sweet Adelines.

Barbara attended weekly church service at First Christian Church in Ruskin and the family would like to thank the Pastor Mike Grant for kindly visiting her at the hospital when she fell ill. The family also wishes to express their gratitude to the hospice team who helped to care for her prior to her death.

Her remains will lie to rest with her husband, William A Null at the Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota FL.
