We are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Briane on April 3, 2021, at his home in Sun City Center. Briane is survived by his wife Lynne, and his children Aaron (Cristyn), Jason (Lindsay) and Tracey (Mike). His seven grandchildren, Sam, Olivia, Madeleine, Caleb, Noah, Elizabeth and Nathan brought him immeasurable joy.
Born and raised in Boston, and a loyal Patriots fan (even after they traded Brady), Briane was also a proud Vietnam Veteran. Briane was a member of the esteemed 101st Airborne and was awarded the Combat Infantryman's Badge, Bronze Star and Soldiers Medal.
Briane was an avid outdoor enthusiast. He enjoyed running, cycling, hunting and camping. One of the many highlights of his outdoor pursuits was a backpacking trip with his sons to Bridger Wilderness. In between work and his camping adventures, he met Lynne, whom he would proclaim many times as his soulmate, and the best thing that ever happened to him. He still maintained this even when she revealed that her idea of camping included a flush toilet.
Never one to slow down, Briane applied his unwavering focus to creating the first product of its kind in elevator protection. Thus, at an age where many consider winding down their careers, Briane founded Doorguard. Briane thoroughly enjoyed running a successful small business and creating a thriving company. Briane's energy, drive and sense of humor was present throughout his journey.
Briane will be interred at the Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
