Buford Anthony "Tony" Moore, 79, born on March 30, 1943, in Macon, Georgia, passed unexpectedly in his home in Sun City Center, Florida on Friday June 24, 2022.
Tony or "Pa Pa Tony", as he was affectionately known by loved ones, stood tall as a tower to those that knew him. His kindness, generosity, sense of humor and humility set examples for everyone. He loved animals and nature. He was inquisitive and ever learning. Under self-guidance he became fluent in Spanish. He had a lifetime of experiences and stories to tell. Words cannot convey how much he was adored and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He earned his jump wings in the 101st Airborne Division. After leaving the Army he served in a new capacity as a civil service employee at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. He served his local community with the Sun City Center Emergency Squad and Sun City Center Ride.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Grace Brant, and his two brothers Delmar Moore and Jerry Moore. He is survived by his son, James Moore, and his daughter, Serena Moore. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Joel Giles, Christian Huddleston, Josiah Giles, Rocco Moore, and two great-great grandchildren, Eli Moore and Leilani Huddleston.
There will be a private memorial ceremony held at a later date. In lieu of flowers we ask that you pass on an act of kindness to a stranger as this would be a great honor to his memory.
Until we meet again…
