Carol Anna Norden, 87, of Sun City Center, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025. Born on January 21, 1938, in Olean, New York, Carol lived a full and vibrant life marked by resilience, creativity, and deep devotion to her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John A. "Jack" Norden. Carol is survived by her loving children: Sam Johnson and his wife Carol of McMurray, Pennsylvania; Joe Johnson of Senatobia, Mississippi; and Wendy Johnson of Providence, Rhode Island. She was a proud grandmother to Noel and Bradley Johnson.
Carol also embraced Jack's children as her own: Jack and Pam Norden, Eric and Leslie Norden, Peter and Bernadette Norden, and Neil and Shannon Norden. She cherished their families deeply and was a devoted grandmother to their children as well—each one a source of pride and joy.

As a military wife, Carol experienced life in many places across the country, gracefully managing the challenges of frequent moves while building a warm and loving home wherever she landed. Her professional life was as varied and adventurous as her travels—she worked as a teacher, spent time with the National Park Service, and later built a career in insurance sales.

Carol was a talented artist who found joy in expressing herself creatively. She had a gift for hospitality and was known for her love of cooking and entertaining, often bringing family and friends together around her table.

Carol will be remembered for her strength, warmth, and generous spirit. She touched many lives and leaves behind a legacy of love and creativity that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery on August 1, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.
