Carolyn Rose Powell, age 79, went to be with her lord on January 19, 2024. Carolyn, born October 4, 1945, grew up in Jim Thorpe, PA and lived most of her life with her beloved husband in Effort, PA, before moving to Kernersville, NC and then making her way down to Sun City Center, FL.

Carolyn worked many roles but found her passion in housekeeping working as a supervisor at the Palmerton Hospital, then working at the Palmerton Bank, prior to retiring in 2012. She married the love of her life, Donald, in 1987 and they worked side-by-side at the bank until retirement.

Carolyn loved to dance, shop, cook and host parties! She and Donald's 4th of July parties were the talk of the neighborhood back in Pennsylvania. She loved laughing and having a good time and was frequently called, "Trouble" due to her sense of humor!

Carolyn was not able to have children due to a battle with cancer early in life, but took on the role of step-mom of 4 in 1987. She loved to spend time with family and friends and enjoyed every minute she had to spend time with her grandchildren.

Carolyn is predeceased by her loving husband Donald, her parents Leroy and Goldie Wagner, Sisters Margaret Minichino, Phyllis George, and Audrey Gogal, and Brothers, Richard Wagner, Walter Wagner and William Wagner.

She will be missed by her children, Donald Wayne Powell of New Smyrna Beach, Fl, Scott Powell of Franklinville, NC, Ben Powell of Bowmanstown, PA, and Crystal Metzler, of Apollo Beach, FL. She is survived by her grandchildren, Andrew Powell, Brandon Powell, Savannah Powell, Phoebe Powell, Josephine White, David Evans, Kaden Metzler, Julia Metzler, Brianna Powell, Jacob Powell, Stella Powell, Samson Powell, and Layla Powell and 2 great grandchildren.

Services will be announced at a later date, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband in Kernersville, NC.
