Chris Neal Bengtson, 65, passed away Feb. 25, 2017, he was born in South Bend, Indiana on Dec. 18, 1951 and a long time resident of Brattleboro, Vermont before moving to Florida in 2000. He was a long time member of the American Legion Post 325 in Palmetto, Florida as well as an active member of Ruskin Moose Lodge 813 and Eagles he was an officer and excellent volunteer for all and well loved by his long time partner Debbie Roush of Ruskin. He was well loved by everyone who knew him and will be sorely missed by all.

He is survived by his partner Debbie; his son, Joel Bengtson; daughter, Trista Bengtson of Brattleboro, Vermont ; brother, Craig Bengtson of Brattleboro, Vermont..

A memorial and celebration of life will be held at American Legion Post 325 3420 US Hwy 301 N. Palmetto, Florida, Saturday, March 11, 2017, 12 pm
