Christa Elaine Cokkinias, 50, of Apollo Beach, FL , passed away on August 12, 2025, after a courageous 12-year battle with brain cancer. She was born on February 14, 1975, in Killeen, TX.

Christa graduated from Lemon Bay High School in 1993. Before her diagnosis in 2013, Christa worked in hospitality management at the Manasota Beach Club and the Weekapaug Inn. Throughout her life, she resided in Killeen, TX, Crossville, TN, Englewood, FL, Weekapaug, RI, Nashville, TN, and Apollo Beach, FL.

She is survived by her loving parents, John and Jill Cokkinias. Christa also leaves behind her brother, John Cokkinias, and his wife, Amber Venturino Cokkinias, and her sister, Kimberly Cokkinias. She was beloved Aunt Kiki to her nephews, Caine Cokkinias, 17, and George Cokkinias, 7.

Christa cherished spending time with her family and her beloved dog, Zoe. She was an avid University of Tennessee fan, GO VOLS! Anyone who knew Christa would describe her as a sweet person with a caring heart, loved by her friends and family. She was a fighter until her last breath and lived her life by the motto, "Just Keep Swimming".

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 31, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Southshore Falls Community Center, located at 5817 Cascade Falls Ln, Apollo Beach, FL 33572.
