Christine Hain Elbert of Sun City· Center, FL. died peacefully on August 15, -2015 with her
children at her bedside.The eldest of four children of Viola Stohler Hain and Isaac Clayton Hain, she was born at her grandfather Stohler' s farm near Schaefferstown, PA. on December 20, 1922.
She graduated from Shillington High School. Christine married the late George E. Elbert, Sr. in 1952, and they raised a family in Reading, PA. Christine was an executive secretary and worked at Beryllium Corporation for many years, retiring in 1985 from the KBI division of Cabot. A member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church, she was a Cub Scout leader, and the Cake Lady at Wodenschiere Country Club. She was an avid jazz fan, and volunteered at the Cape May Jazz festival and the Berks Jazz Fest, as well as cruising on the Jazz Cruise.
She is survived by four children: Linda Ellison of Apollo Beach, FL.; Robert "Bob" Elbert and his wife Kathryn of Reading, PA.; George Elbert, Jr. of Jupiter, FL.; and Sally Elbert McDonald of Tampa, FL. She has seven grandchildren: Elizabeth Ellison, Pam Elbert Simmons, Kim Elbert Gaston, Sara Mae Elbert, Trey Elbert, Clay McDonald and Miles McDonald. She has nine great-grandchildren. Christine is also survived by a brother, Harold "Snap" Hain of Chattanooga, TN. She was pre-deceased by her brother, John Hain, and sister Delores Hain Cooper.
