Darrell Luverne Paulson was born November 30, 1943 in Benson, Minnesota, the son of Walter Levi and Gladys Verone (Johnson) Paulson. He grew up in Kerkhoven and graduated from Kerkhoven High School with the Class of 1961. Darrell was united in marriage to Donna Orletta Kvamme on August 8, 1964 at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Benson. They were blessed with two children and 46 years of marriage. They lived in Benson and Darrell worked for the Swift County Highway Department for 6 years, then worked as a heavy equipment operator for Commerford Construction for 18 years until 1992 when he became disabled. Among the things Darrell enjoyed were woodworking, fishing, camping, collecting tractors and cars, and splitting wood. He was called from this life on Monday, November 15, 2010 at his home. He attained the age of 66 years, 11 months and 16 days. Darrell is survived by his wife Donna of Benson; his children: Dennis (Lory) Paulson of Raymond and Denise (Paul) Fowler of Becker; a grandchild, Layla Fowler; his mother, Gladys Paulson of Benson; his brother Gaylord (Coletta) Paulson of Sagle, Idaho; and other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his father Walter; and three grandchildren: Tiffany, Dalton and Isabella.
