Deborah "Debbie" Elaine (Darnell) Aslin,
residing in Ruskin, Florida, after having battled lengthy illnesses,
peacefully entered Heaven's gates Thursday, March 16, 2017.
She was born in Michigan on June 29, 1952 to Philip
and Dolores Darnell, both of whom preceded her in death.
In 1982, Debbie and Isaac "Ike" William Hensley
began their 35-year relationship, most of which
was spent in Barbourville, KY where they participated
in several business ventures. In 1997, Debbie completed
nursing school and her graduation was one of her
most valued accomplishments. She practiced nursing
at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
Debbie leaves behind her husband,
Ike Hensley, their children: Wendy (Aslin) and
J.D. Schultz, of Port Orchard, WA; Deanna "Dee Dee" (Hensley)
and Michael Kasitz, Clarksville, TN; Christine "Tina" (Lavelle)
and Johnny Adkins, Williamsburg, KY; Kimberly (Hensley) and
Dr. A.J. Smith, Barbourville, KY; and Darrin and
Kim (Stone) Hensley, Corbin, KY. A sister,
Rhonda (Dave) Ruppel, Simi Valley, CA; and
a brother, Phillip Darnell, Redmond, OR.
Debbie took great pride in her grandchildren:
Jessicca "Jessi" and Paige Schultz, Anthony "AJ" (Meghan) Danshaw;
Samantha "Mandy" LaFollette; Joshua, Kaylee, Alexander
and Kora Smith; Olivia and Deklynn Kasitz; Carlin Hensley (and Bo) and
her great grandchild, Bailey as well as nieces and a nephew,
Rheanna Ruppel, April (Ruppel) Howard, Melisa "Lisa" (Carpenter) White
and Colby, Madison and Natalie Darnell. Her children,
grandchildren and nieces and nephew are aware
that her most beloved survivor is her four-legged companion,
Corky THE Yorkie. She also leaves behind a
host of other family and friends.
At Debbie's request, no public memorial service will be held.
