Captain Delmar Lee (Bud) Winchester Sr. (retired) 96, a devoted Husband and Father, peacefully passed away Friday, June 28, 2019 at his son's home in Apollo Beach, FL.

Bud was born in Gastonia, North Carolina in 1923. Bud met and married Betty in 1952 and were blissfully married for 62 years. They had 4 children, Delmar Jr, Keith, John, and Lori. Bud traveled the world as a Merchant Mariner. He retired in 1985. After his retirement he and Betty enjoyed travelling together, until Betty's death in 2014.

Bud is survived by his children Del Jr. and his wife Debi, Keith and his wife Ginny, John and his wife Diana, and 5 grandchildren, Seth, Kylan, Leigh Ann, Kaleb and Sarah, and 3 great grandchildren Konnor, Carlisle Madison, and McGuire Payne.

Bud loved the Lord and his beautiful family very much. I know Bud would have wanted you to know he's with the Lord now. I know we will miss Bud as we have missed Betty, but now they are together again.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, July 27, 2019, at 1:00 pm at Caribbean Isles Mobile Home Park Clubhouse, 405 Elsberry Rd. Apollo Beach, Fl. 33572.
