She will be deeply missed by many wonderful friends as well as colleagues where she was employed as a customer service agent at LKQ for 12 years. Denise always enjoyed being with family and was its inspiration. She continued to live a zestful life even after her cancer was becoming more and more painful. From zip lining in the Smokey Mountains in September 2011 to riding Rollercoasters at Disney, she always had fun. She had a poem posted on her pin board at work and she kept it close to her and lived by it: "As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken, probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because, every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back." Author Unknown Denise took thousands of pictures, loved everyone she met, very rarely was upset about anything. She had a grace about her that compelled everyone that met her to love her as well. So, in the end, it's not how many people you have loved, it is how many people love you. A celebration of life will be announced in the near future. Cremation was performed by Zipperer's Funeral Home.
