In loving memory of Donald Winfield Batson, Sr., 93, who passed away on December 23, 2023. He was the Husband of Joyce Pearl Batson. They shared 69 years of marriage together.
Born in Geneva, NY on July 10, 1930, and raised by his maternal Grandparents George & Luella Markel. He graduated from Geneva High School in 1948 and later attended Police Academy and Monroe Community College for Criminal Justice.
A Veteran of the Korean War in 1953 and a retired Geneva Police Sergeant serving from 1955 – 1980.
He is survived by his loving Wife: Joyce P. Batson, Son: Donald Batson, Jr. (Diane), Grandchildren: Daniel VanHall, Darcy Matchette (Matthew), Sean Batson (Amanda) & Joshua Batson, and Great-Grandchildren: Emma & Elliott Batson.
May you rest in everlasting peace, Grandpa. You were so loved.
