Donald Bayne Golding, age 97, passed away
peacefully on November 15, 2017 in
Sun City Center, Florida.
Don was born on January 12, 1920 in
Kokomo, Indiana and grew up in Detroit, Michigan.
He began his career as a draftsman for
the Packard Motor Company, and joined the
Army Air Corps late in World War II.
Following his service, Don returned to
Packard but subsequently joined General Motors
Styling until his retirement in 1978.
He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years,
Betty (Shannon) Golding. Don is also survived
by his daughter Dianne (Phil) Frincke and
son D.R. (Sarah) Golding; his three grandchildren
Catie Nations, Annie (Ryan) Fleming and
Ryan (Ashley) Oswald; and his six
great-grandchildren Ehren Oswald, Redford Nations,
Avery Nations, Ozzy Fleming, Bodey Fleming and Brody Oswald.
Don will be interred at
Sarasota National Cemetery, and
memorials may be directed to
the charity of your choosing.
