Donna King, 83
Went to heaven on April 4, 2016 to
be reunited with the love of her life,
husband of 62 Joe King.
To some she was a loving mother,
a good friend to those that were lucky
enough to call her friend, a friend to everyone
she encountered on their many travels.
She worked hard as a mother,
waitressing, salesperson, and a business owner.
She worked for and co-owned the Country Kitchen,
then Ruskin Rexall, sales person for Archie Hamlin Nursey,
and then co-owner/ office manager of Florida Azalea Specialists.
Originally from Oregon she moved to the Ruskin area in 1957,
along with her family consisting of a husband, and 4 small children.
The family moved to "Doodle Hill" those of the old days remember it
as that place that had shell roads (SR 674) and
a store named "Brannon's Market".
The house they purchased was wood frame on blocks.
She sent four kids through East Bay High School (7th through 12th).
Later in life after she had raised her children to adulthood,
she and Joe traveled to many states in their RV,
took several cruises, and a trip to Australia.
She never forgot her Oregon family.
They visited many times in their RV.
She is survived by her loving children
Kathy and Jim Hercules, David and Eleanor King, Jeff and Debra King.
Nine Grandchildren,
Alicin King, Angela Dell, Brian King,
Eric King, Jesse King, Joseph King,
