Dorean Ruth Michael, 92, passed quietly away December 1, 2012 in Bradenton Florida. She grew up in Fairgrove, Michigan but lived much of her life in Florida, including many years in Sun City Center. A pleasant and kind lady with an adventurous spirit, she was loved by her family and friends. Her five brothers and sisters and her loving husband of over 56 years, Frank Michael and son, Buddy Spencer, predeceased her in death.
During World War II she served in the Women's Army Air Force as a driver, then returned to Michigan to operate roller skating rinks. She taught numerous classes in arts and crafts, loved to travel and camp and was active in teaching square dancing while her husband, Frank called the dances.
She is survived by nieces and nephews in Florida, Michigan and Arizona.
A memorial service will be held in the spring in Fairgrove, Michigan.
