Doris Mae Goulet was born August 5, 1917 in Hancock, Minnesota, the daughter of Fred and Lydia (Hayes) Macklin. She was baptized in 1942, and married on January 19, 1943 to Herman Franklin Goulet by Father Richard King in Clontarf. This marriage was blessed with seven children and 36 years of marriage. They lived on a farm near Clontarf before moving into Benson in 1976. Herman passed away in 1979. Doris worked at Fingerhut, and the Senior Nutrition Center. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and enjoyed playing Bingo, wordfinds, ceramics, movies, old time music and animals. Doris was called from this life on Friday, July 30, 2010 at Golden Living Center in Benson. She attained the age of 92 years, 11 months and 25 days. Doris is survived by her children Wayne (Frances) Goulet of Benson, Joyce (Lonney) Ross of Cohasset, Lavonne Goulet of Benson, Marvin (Juanita) Goulet of Fergus Falls, Edwin (Susan) Goulet of Benson, Raymond Goulet of Benson, and Roy Goulet of Benson; 19 grandchildren: Susan (Todd) Ascheman, Darlene(Scott) Riley, Karen (Court) Mether, Janet Felcyn, LeAnn (David) DeGrote, Jamie Felcyn, Kris (Wayne) Enestvedt, Rick (Jade) Goulet, Tom Goulet, Jeremy and Eric Goulet, Scott, Carol, Michael Goulet, Doris (Mike) Johnson, Tony, Sam, Jason Goulet, and Reena (Matt) Ollendick; 22 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; siblings: Donald Macklin of Burnsville, Dorothy Hargraves of Benson, Avis (Donald) Johnson of Northfield, Margaret (Robert) Everson of Detroit Lakes, and Betty Paulsen of Isle; and other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her husband Herman; her parents Fred and Lydia; four brothers, two sisters, daughter-in-law, Char Goulet, and great granddaughter, Coral Goulet.
