Obituary
Douglas Tucker, 78, of Riverview, Florida, died suddenly at St. Joseph South in Riverview, Florida at 3:30 PM on July 31, 2019. He was surrounded by his wife Jerrie and many close friends.
Doug was born in Tampa, Florida on February 28, 1941 to the late John W. and Geneva Tucker. He was one of 6 children: 3 sisters and 2 predeceased brothers. Doug was crane operator and a member of IUOE Local 487, District 925 for 50 years. Doug was a Christian and a member of Simmons Loop Baptist Church for many years. He loved cooking, fishing, hunting, camping, and gardening.
Doug is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jerrie; beloved sons, Tony Tucker (predeceased); Allen Tucker (Susie) Hayesville, NC; John Tucker (Taryn) Sacramento, CA; granddaughter, Ariel, Sacramento, CA; and many close friends and family.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 10th at 4 PM at Simmons Loop Baptist Church.
