Obituary
Eleanor "Ellie" H. Ervin 79, of Winter Haven passed
away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital in
Tampa, Florida, on 17 June 2017.
She was born in Annapolis, Maryland on 22 September 1937.
After many years as a navy wife she and her family
settled in Hickory, North Carolina where she raised two daughters.
She eventually moved to Winter Haven, Florida
to be close to her children and their families.
Ellie was a passionate sports fan especially
of those teams from North Carolina.
She loved to spend time with her family,
drive her golf cart around her community and walk her dog Rachel.
She was predeceased by her husband of
fifty years Chief Petty Officer (retired) James E. Ervin, USN
and her grandson Lucas Ervin.
She is survived by her daughters Linda (John) Fowler
and Major Bobbie (Daniel) Skidmore, USAF (retired)
and her grandsons SSgt Blake Skidmore (USAF)
and PO3 James Fowler (USN Reserves).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in
the names of Jim and Ellie Ervin be made to
the Alzheimer's Association: http://www.alz.org/
