Ellis "Secret" Woodfin of Apollo Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully with his wife, children and grandchildren by his side. He was born in Marblehead, Massachusetts. He served as a firefighter for the town of Marblehead for 33 years. He spent many of his years working on the waterfront for Marblehead Transportation Company, Cloutman's Boatyard, and Marblehead Trading Company. He was an avid volunteer for Marblehead Youth Hockey and served as President of the Association for six years. Ellis was a member of the Philanthropic Masonry Lodge and Tampa Sailing Squadron.
Ellis "Secret" Woodfin is survived by his wife of 61 years, Bernice Woodfin, children, Susan (Bryan), Bruce (Lonna) and Brad; Grandchildren Bryan Ellis, Rudy, Emily, Gordon, Hadley, and Thomas Secret.
Services will be held 11 am Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Zipperer's Funeral Home, 1520 33RD ST SE, Ruskin, Florida 33570. Interment will follow at Ruskin Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the South Shore United Methodist Children's Ministry.
