Elmer C. Hoberg, 70, of Willmar, formerly of Benson was called from this life on June 15th, 2012, at the Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, with his children at his side. Elmer was born on July 10th, 1941 in Big Bend, the son of Alfred and Mabel (Anderson) Hoberg. He grew up in Clontarf and attended schools in Benson. On August 4th, 1964, he married Gladys Peerboom. Together they shared in 45 years of marriage. They lived in Benson, Danvers, and the Clontarf area. Elmer farmed for years and loved fixing on tractors and old cars. He worked at Leaders manufacturing and before his retirement in 2008, he managed the Benson Apartments. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson. Mass of Christian Burial, will be held on Wednesday, June 20, at 1:00 p.m., at St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson. He is survived by his three daughters; Patty (Jerry) Wrobleski, Paula Jones (Esteban Ramos), and Penny (Doug) Mulder, all of Willmar; a son Charles Hoberg of Benson; eleven grandchildren, Laura Wrobleski, Aaron Wrobleski, Lorenzo Lara, Colton Hoberg, McKayla Newman, Spencer Jones, Kelsey Jones, Brendan Jones, Austin Ivy, Adam Ivy, and Brittni Ivy; one great granddaughter Ava Lara; four brothers Albert (Monnie) Hoberg of Washington, Ray (Dorothy) Hoberg, Donald (Virginia) Hoberg, and Floyd (Bonnie) Hoberg, all of Hancock; one sister Shirley Bailey of Benson; one brother in law Donald Bennett of Lake Lillian; one sister in law Margie Hoberg of Ortonville; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Mabel; his wife, Gladys; two brothers, Kenny and Harry; and three sisters, Evelyn Hoberg, Marian Bennett, and Beatrice Ascheman.
