Mrs. Ermagene (Jean) Thomas, 91 of Ft. Lonesome, Florida passed away on Tuesday,
December 27th at her residence.
She is preceded in death by Joseph W. Thomas, her husband of 60 years, and is survived by
her children: Lynn Sumner, Susan Granger, David Thomas, and Gina Sorensen, as well as eight
grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren, and many
others who also called her "Nanny."
She is also survived by three sisters: Vila Clark, Dene Patterson (her twin), and Johnnie Ash,
and two brothers: Stuart Stanaland, and Ben Stanaland.
Hers has been a life of service, to her Lord, to her family, and to countless others, both known to
us, and unknown to us.
In a very real way she epitomized the woman spoken of in Mark 14, because in every situation,
"She has done what she could." Her service is eclipsed only by her smile, her wit and humor
(including fun-loving pranks), and her love for those who knew her- especially those of us
blessed to be part of her family.
There will be a graveside service at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 2, 2022, at Fellowship Cemetery,
Lithia, Florida.
To honor Mother's request, we ask that there be no flowers.
She is in a beautiful garden.
