Eugene Thomas Ogilby Sr., 94, passed away July 1, 2018 in Apollo Beach, Florida. Eugene is an Army veteran (Tec5) of World War II. He retired from the United States Coast and Geodetic Survey, was a member of the Tampa Sailing Squadron, and a lifetime honorary member of the Florida Sheriffs Association.

Eugene is preceded in death by his father and mother, Thomas and Felicia Zerman Ogilby; brother, John Ogilby; sister, Mary O. Holmes; his wife, Faye Tully Ogilby.

He is survived by his daughter, Gail Ogilby Gower (Robert); three sons, Eugene T. Jr., Gary John, and Joseph Jerry Ogilby; Step-son, Eugene M. Cannon Jr. (Lupe) ; six grandchildren, Ashley M. Gower, Felicia M. Ogilby, Matthew Ogilby, Faylene Ogilby, Marilyn Cannon Dreis, and Eugene Cannon III; 9 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will take place at the Alpha House in Apollo Beach, Florida, October 6, 2018 at 12 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranch.
