Florence Munsterman, 84, of Appleton, died on Monday at Appleton Area Health Services. Funeral services will be held on Friday, 2:00 PM, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Appleton with Pastor Tim Renstrom officiating. Interment will be at the Appleton City Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, 5 to 7 PM, at Trinity Lutheran Church and continue one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday afternoon. Zniewski Funeral Home-Vaala Chapel in Appleton is handling the arrangements of Florence Munsterman. Florence Hazel Munsterman was born on Mary 15, 1925, at Big Bend to James and Mary (Noard) Volgerson. She was baptized on May 31, 1925, and confirmed on June 18, 1939, at Big Bend Lutheran Church. Florence graduated from Appleton High School on June 3, 1943. On November 29, 1944, she was married to Ralph F. Munsterman at Big Bend Lutheran Church. After their marriage they lived on the farm in Moyer Township for several years. Florence was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church serving as church treasurer and the Guild. She was a member of the bridge club and enjoyed quilting, playing cards, traveling, bird watching, baseball, and doing volunteer driving. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Florence had a great sense of humor. Florence died on Monday evening, October 12th, at Appleton Area Health Services. She had attained 84 years, 4 months, and 27 days of age. She is survived by three children: Anita (David) Maras of Willmar, Mary (David) Larson of Hector, and Mark Munsterman of Willmar; five grandchildren: Daniel (Sara) Maras, Michael (Laurie) Maras, Matthew Maras, Jaime (Michael) McLoone, and Jolane Larson; six great-grandchildren: Morgan and Mya Maras, Tiffani and Garrett Maras, and Lauren and Alena Maras; two sisters: Marion Schaffer of St. Paul and Delores Erickson of Brooklyn Center; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Ralph on March 15, 1991; three brothers: Nelvin, Floyd, and Russell Volgerson; and two sisters: Irene Quaal and Gladys Mrozek.
