Frances (Bublitz) Kraenzlein, 81, passed away peacefully at her home in Apollo Beach, Florida, May 4, 2010. She was born in Flint, Michigan, on May 12, 1928, the daughter of the late Helen (Hastings) Bublitz and Rudy Bublitz. She is survived by her husband, Roy Kraenzlein. She is also survived by her daughter, Kristine Brown and her husband, Richard; her grandchildren Captain Daniel Brown and Carolyn Brown; and her brothers Gus Bublitz and his wife Joann, and John Bublitz and his wife Betty. She was predeceased by her son, Karl Kraenzlein, and by her sister, June Stark. Fran was employed by the Bay City Board of Education and over the years served as a bookmobile librarian, a substitute chorus teacher at Handy High School, and an administrative assistant at the Central Office. She loved music and was a junior choir director, a member of several church choirs (most recently the First Presbyterian Church of Bay City), and a private soloist. Roy and Fran had recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary. They enjoyed being snowbirds in the winter at Apollo Beach and spent many summer days at Long Lake in Alpena. Fran was a joyful and proud mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed and remembered fondly for her generosity and care of others, and the beauty of her soul. A memorial service for family and friends will be held in Sun City, Florida on May 18, 2010 at the Ruskin Chapel with Chaplain Merrie Pabellon officiating.
