It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved "Pop", Francisco Rivera, who peacefully left this world on February 15, 2025, in Sun City Center, Florida. He was born on March 9, 1936, to his loving parents Inocencio Rivera and Santo Amaro.

Francisco was a devoted husband to his partner Aida Rivera and a loving father to his four children, Francisco Rivera Jr, Miriam Rivera, Milagros Dickerson, and Gilberto Rivera. He adored his family and was an example of strength, love, and support for them throughout his life.

Francisco was a man of many talents, humor, and dedication but his passion for baseball was unrivaled. He spent countless hours cheering on his favorite team…the Mets and playing the sport himself, instilling a love for the game in his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family. Francisco's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in knowing that Francisco is now at peace, watching over us from above in the arms of the Lord. Rest in peace, Pop. You will forever remain in our hearts.
