Obituary
Frank Sims Jr., 82, of Ruskin, was born on November 2, 1936, and passed away December 31,2018.
Frank was a military man who served in the US Airforce from 1954 to 1958. He was a past commander of the American Legion Post 18. Frank never met a stranger and always welcomed a friend with a cold beer. He loved being on or close to the water. Frank was an animal lover from having Charlie the goose to Dude the "naked" parrot and all kinds of dogs.
Frank was proceeded in death by his parents; Frank and Margaret Sims, his brother; Ronnie Sims, his infant son; Francis Charles Sims III, and infant daughter; Carol Jean Sims. He is survived by his loving wife; Carol Sims, his daughters; Peggy Ryon, Carol Hurban (Dave), Linda Johnson (Jay), his Grandchildren; Donnie, Celeste, Scott, Christina, JJ, Travis, and his 5 great- grandchildren; Dominic, Alex, Jesse, Jaxon, and Sophia. He is also survived by his sisters Joan Giampietro and Pat Hill, and brother; Butchie Sims.
Funeral Services will be at Sarasota National Cemetery on Friday March 15th.
