Frank G. Mullen, Jr., Ph.D. age 86,
was born September 24, 1929,
in Memphis, Tennessee to Frank G. Mullen, Sr.
and Emily Chestnut and died October 29, 2015.
Dr. Mullen was a veteran of the U.S Marine Corps,
a graduate of the University of Georgia and
earned his doctorate degree at the University of Tennessee.
He did research at Martin Marietta Corporation,
was a faculty member of Queens College, Charlotte, NC
and Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant, MI.
He was director of the Midland-Gladwin Mental Health Center
and before his retirement of Sun City Center in 1986
he and his wife practiced clinical psychology
and clinical social work at the Psychological Center, Sarasota, Florida.
Dr. Mullen is survived by his wife,
Bonnie M. Mullen and grandson,
Kyle Alexander Mullen, Atlanta, Georgia.
He was predeceased in death by his son,
Frank G. Mullen III.
Service will be private.
Burial will be at Sarasota National Cemetery.
