Frank “Frankie” Proia passed away on September 23, 2026, his 66th birthday. Born in West Islip, New York, he was the son of Ignacio “Harry” Proia and Doris Proia.

Frank lived what felt like a thousand lives, collecting unforgettable experiences and legendary stories along the way. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit and for always being there for his family and friends.

He found joy in music and playing his guitars, riding his motorcycle, and fishing. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with the people he loved.

Frank is survived by his mother, Doris Proia; his sister, Linda Proia Nye, and her husband, Clint Nye; and his niece, Kirsten Nye. He was preceded in death by his father, Ignacio “Harry” Proia.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Latitudes in Apollo Beach, Florida. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate a life filled with adventure, music, and love. We also welcome all those musician friends attending in person to partake in a jam session in honor of Frank’s passion for music.
