George was a loving husband,
good friend and well-loved man
who's presence will be greatly missed.
He always was ready to lend a hand or
help in any way he could.
While living in Syracuse he dressed
as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle for
the Eastwood Legion in parades and
to visit the children at Upstate Hospital.
George enjoyed all sports,
played basketball while in the Navy,
played softball for the tavern leagues in Syracuse,
and bowled achieving 299 and 300 point games.
He loved to watch any sport on TV,
from baseball to football and even golf,
and always enjoyed NASCAR racing.
George enjoyed the outdoors whether
he was hunting, working in the yard or
setting up decorations around the house for the holidays.
He served in the Navy and
the Navy reserve as a young man.
George is survived by his wife Shirley,
stepsons Jerry and Ernest, 7 grandchildren
and 11 great grandchildren,
his brother Jerry in Syracuse.
George peacefully passed away at home in the company of his family early March 2nd, 2015.
