Cook, Gerald Richard, 72, beloved husband, father, friend and U.S. Marine was lovingly placed in the arms of Jesus Tuesday evening March 29, 2011. Mr. Cook is preceded in death by his parents, Richard G. and Evelyn Mae Cook, and daughter Jill Andrea Cook. He is survived by the light of his life, loving wife and best friend of 37 years, Janice. His sister, Mrs. Beverly Mayberry (Larry) of Indiana and brother Michael of Tennessee. Mr. Cook leaves behind four children, Tracy, Mark, Kevin, and Cheryl all residing in Indiana. Mr. Cook retired from the vending business here in the Tampa Bay area. He loved golf and played every chance he got. He also enjoyed making custom golf clubs for those blessed enough to be his friends. He loved the Lord and is truly in a better place, but will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Memorial service will be held at 7:00pm Thursday April 7, 2011 at Harvest Time Church 1511 U.S. Hwy 301 S. Tampa, Fl. In lieu of flowers, the family will be accepting donations for his wife.
