Gladys Patricia Hoberg was born on February 18, 1941, in Benson, MN the daughter of Henry W. and Margaret (Fernell) Peerboom. She was called from this life on Friday evening, April 3rd, at Bethesda Heritage Care Center in Willmar, MN. She had attained the age of 68 years, 1 month and 15 days. Gladys was baptized at the Church of The Visitation Catholic Church in Danvers. She grew up in Danvers and attended and graduated from the Holloway High School. On August 1, 1964, Gladys was united in marriage to Elmer Charles Hoberg at the Church of the Visitation Catholic Church in Danvers, MN. To this union one son and three daughters were born. Together Gladys and Elmer were able to share in 44 years of marriage. Gladys and Elmer have lived in Clontarf, Swift Falls, Danvers and Benson.Gladys has worked at Benson Produce; Fingerhut; Jennie-O Turkey Store; and most recently for the Family Dollar Store in Benson. Gladys was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson. Among the things Gladys enjoyed were baking, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. Gladys is survived by her husband: Elmer Hoberg of Benson, MN; one son: Charles Hoberg of Benson, MN; three daughters: Patty (Jerry) Wrobleski of Willmar, MN, Paula Jones & Steve Ramos of Willmar, MN, and Penny Ivy & Doug Mulder of Lake Lillian, MN; 11 grandchildren; one brother: Jim (Donna) Peerboom of Rockford, IL; five sisters: Marie (Sylvester) Muelbauer of Danvers, MN, Anne Geyer of Benson, MN, Elaine Schultz of Benson, MN, Rose Bannister of Starbuck, MN, and Margaret Ann (Lawerence) Ruidnick of Thorp, WI; several nieces and nephews. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Margaret Peerboom; and two brothers William and John Peerboom.
