Gwendolyn Tompkins, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on May 2nd, 2024, in Brandon, Florida. She was born on October 6th, 1958, in Charleston, West Virginia. Gwendolyn's passing has left a void that cannot be filled, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Gwendolyn was an extraordinary woman whose presence could light up any room. Her sassy yet sweet nature endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. As she grew older, Gwendolyn's life revolved around her family - especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she cherished dearly.

She is survived by her Brothers: Garfield Runyan and Larry Mcvey; Daughters: Betty Tindel (Lonnie Tindel) and Billie Broughton (Toby Stillwell); as well as numerous grandchildren including Robert Ray, Bobbie Ray, Hope Rodak, Amanda Broughton, Brittany Broughton, Neil Broughton; Lily Broughton; Scarlett Stillwell; and great-grandchildren Elizabeth Rodak, Chris Rodak, Josephine Dwiggins, Dorian Dwiggins, Ella Edwards, Irina Janzen, Cecilia Janzen, Dawson Janzen, Hunter Broughton, Brayzen Broughton and Allen George Jr.

The impact Gwendolyn had on those around her is immeasurable. Her love knew no bounds as she selflessly devoted herself to caring for others. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her.

A memorial service honoring Gwendolyn's life will be held on Saturday May 11th with further details forthcoming.
