Ina Anderson was born September 15, 1916 in Danube, Minnesota, the daughter of George John and Clara Helen (Moede) Macheledt. Her father owned a general store in Danube. When the store burned down they moved to a farm 8 miles east of Ortonville, Minnesota. On October 12, 1941, she and Iver Julian Anderson were married on this same farm. They lived in Clinton and Appleton before moving to Portland, Oregon in 1952. Ina was a member of the Methodist Church and the Women's Church Group. She was also a member of the County Extension group for many years. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, crafts, sewing, bridge, bunco, and Christmas. She also enjoyed entertaining family and friends, especially at Christmastime. She was a cook and cafeteria manager in the Portland Public Schools. Ina enjoyed good health up until the last few months of her life. She attained the age of 93 years, 11 months and 5 days.Ina is survived by her children: Donna (Larry) Wittmayer of Portland, Oregon; Judy Sanstrum of Portland, Oregon; and Susan (Keith) Flynn of Vancouver, Washington; six grandchildren: Jon (Janel) Wittmayer, Aaron (Aleta) Sanstrum, Lynette Sanstrum, Sheri (Ryan) Cunningham, Tracie (Auburn) Dietrich, and Sean Flynn; twelve great- grandchildren Christopher and Zachary Wittmayer, Victoria, Isaac and Audrey Cunningham, Madeline, Betsy and Andrew Sanstrum, Ethan Glass, Lillian Zank, Isaac and Emily Dietrich, She is preceded in death by her husband Iver (2004); their infant daughter Sharan Frances; grandson Scott Wittmayer; parents George and Clara; three brothers: Earl (infant), Elmer and Harvey Macheledt; and a sister, Luella Klapel.
