Obituary
88, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013, at his home in Apollo Beach, Fla.
Gene was born in Washington, DC on September 8, 1924.
Gene was preceded in death by his loving wife, Charlotte (Miles) and his sister, Joan Trammell.
He is survived by his sister Ann; daughters; Donna, Sherry, Michelle, and Linda, stepchildren; Ernie, Phillip Lee, Toni, Mildred, James, George, Billy, Debbie, Jody, and Bonnie, and many grand and great grandchildren.
Gene was a loving father, a proud WWII veteran, a true patriot, and the most exceptional man to all who knew him and were blessed to call him "friend".
A memorial service will be held August 10th at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 6287, Ruskin, Fla.
Gene's remains will be laid to rest at a private interment at Bushnell Veteran's Cemetery, Ocala Fla. on Aug 9th.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent "in memory of" to the VFW National Home for Children, 3573 South Waverly Rd, Eaton Rapids, MI 48827.
