James Hartwell, 70, of Ruskin, Florida, passed away on March 09, 2013. James served proudly in United States Army 82nd Airborne in Vietnam from August 1967 to March 1969. He was honored with several medals during wartime to include two Bronze Stars for heroism in ground combat. He distinguished himself by being exceptionally valorous in action while serving as an anti-tank gunner- keeping to the highest standard of military service.
He will be missed by many, but not forgotten. His legacy includes a devoted wife, Jean, son John & Velena with grandchild Gabriela, son Jay & Kimberly with grandchildren Noah, Jonah, Micah and Makeda.
There will be a Celebration of Life Ceremony and picnic on March 16th, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00pm at Veterans Memorial Park and Museum located at 3602 Highway 301, Tampa, Florida 33619. Sandwiches and drinks will be served. Friends are welcome to bring a side dish. Children welcome.
