James Kangas, 71, of Riverview Florida, formerly of the Philadelphia area, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2011, son of the late Charles and Margaret Kangas. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Mitzi Kangas and sons Charles Kangas, Demetri (Theresa) Kangas and granddaughters McKenzie and Emily Kangas, Sister Tina (Bob) Sammartino, as well as cousins, nieces and nephew. Viewing will be held at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, 7671 North Lockwood Ridge Road, Sarasota, FL 34243, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, funeral service immediately afterwards. Interment will be at Sarasota National Cemetery, 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in his name to St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, 7671 North Lockwood Ridge Road, Sarasota, Fl 34243 or your charity of choice.
