Janet Mary Boyington was born January 24, 1941 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Janet (Anderson) Fossum. Janet was married on June 15, 1989 in Clear Lake, Iowa to Oliver Boyington. They lived in Minneapolis, MN, Anoka, MN, and Clarion, IA the last five years. Janet worked as a bond underwriter for Etna Insurance. As a couple, they spent many years being involved in Masonic Lodge activities. She was a member of the Eastern Star, and was a Grand Royal Matron of the Amaranth. Janet traveled extensively to functions of the Order of the Amaranth and was active in Courts in both Minnesota and Iowa. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed shopping. Janet was called from this life on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Golden Living Center in Benson, Minnesota. She attained the age of 69 years, 6 months, and 21 days. Janet is survived by her daughter, Janae (Brian) Lundebrek of Clontarf, MN; her son, Eric Johnson of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; her father, Dr. John Fossum of Champlin, MN; four grandchildren: Jennifer Johnson, Robert Johnson, Keith Lundebrek, and Ashley Lundebrek; one great grandchild, Emerie Overlie; and a sister, Bette Winterrowd of Odessa, TX. Preceding her in death were her husband, Oliver in May of 2010; her mother, Janet; her sisters Barbara and Patricia; and brothers: Johnny and Jay.
