John Wayne Sanchez
August 9, 1940 - June 20, 2018
John Wayne Sanchez passed away peacefully with his wife, children and grandchildren by his side on Wednesday, June 20, 2018.
He was born August 9,1940 in Tampa, FL to George and Gracie Sanchez. He was in the first graduating class of East Bay High School in 1958 and spent 35 years working as a local truck driver with Pilot and AAA Cooper. He was a resident of Riverview, FL; Ruskin, FL; and Franklin, NC.
John Sanchez is survived by his wife of 50 years, Charlotte Sanchez, children Steven (Elaine) Wilson, Gary (Judy) Wilson, and Michelle (Steven) Townsend; Grandchildren Amber, Fred, Michelle, William, Daniel, Alexzandria, and Jakob; 8 great-grandchildren; brother Vaughn (Maxine) Sanchez and sisters Barbara (Edwin) Ely and Velora Lilley; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 23rd at Ruskin VFW #6287 (5120 N U.S. Hwy 41, Ruskin, FL 33572) from 1PM - 5PM.
In lieu of flowers donate to a charity of your choice.
