Woodland III, John Harvey "Jack", 84, of Wimauma, FL, passed away on Nov. 22, Thanksgiving Day, after a painful struggle with lung cancer. Born in Koppel, PA, on May 12, 1928, he lived in Racine, WI, Mt. Vernon, IL, and in Chesterton, IN, at various times. In 1972, he moved to Florida and lived in Temple Terrace until moving to Wimauma in 2005. He is pre-deceased by his parents, John H. Woodland, Jr., and Hilda Reeher, two sisters, Mary W. Neville, and Janet W. Chestovich, and brother Edward M. Stevenson. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Humphrey Woodland, three sons: Edward M. (Sue)of Michigan City, IN, John H. IV, (Cristina) of Johnston, IA, and Philip R. of Trenton, MO. He has three grandchildren, Whitney, Megan, and John R., two nieces, a nephew, great nieces, and nephews, and brother-in-law, Wm R. Neville of Sun City Center and Crown Point, IN. Jack worked many years for Rockwell Spring and US Steel in Indiana in the computer data processing industry. He managed the Computer Departments at several companies in Florida until he retired in 1994. He loved kids, dogs, cats, fishing, kayaking, photography, and cars. He will be sorely missed.
