Jose Shears, JR passed away February 25, 2011. He was born on August 7, 1943 in Brownsville, Texas. He was a drill sergeant for the United States Army and a purple heart recipient. He served three tours in the Vietnam war to fight for our country. He was loved by many and survived by his mother, Viola Benavidez, and his children, Patricia Doniaz, Norma Yvette Wright, Jose Shears III, and Michelle Shears. Viewing is to be held at Zipperer's Funeral Home on March 2, 2011 from 10-12pm with a memorial service to follow at the Sarasota National Cemetary.
